Neil Corbett from Rockstar, Lead QA on Grand Theft Auto IV, posted on the english forum rllmukforum.com discussing the differences between the two versions of the game and the Xbox 360 exclusive contents. This is what he had to say:
"Hello, as it stands the Xbox 360 version has the smoother framerate & far faster loading times (without any installing) but the PS3 version does have that warm feeling with bleached out sunsets & the like. The extra content of the 360 version is significant but nothing like an 'extra Island' at all- as the lead platform it is currently the superior version however. Just you wait until your first windscreen-flying experience."
So it seems he considers the 360 version having an edge over the PS3 one, even if he subsequently adds: "Suffice to say that both versions are stunning."

hallo bin hier fast jeden tag im forum und muss euch sagen das ich mich genau so freue wir ihr auf GTA4 ich glaub das wird das beste game in den letzten 10 jahren naja egal
ich hab hier mal paar videos gefunden glaube die sind ziehmlich neu also hab einige von dennen hier noch nicht gesehen kann mich auch irren

könnte aber wirklich so sein da alle ps3 spiele ja gerne ruckeln und viel längere ladezeiten haben. tja da muss man halt wissen ob man kurze ladezeiten haben will und hohe Framerate oder ob es auf der ps3 ruckelt und man 5 min wartet bis das spiel geladen ist nur um einen stein vor der mülltonne in der farfaraway street 3 glitzern zusehen dank der super tollen HDR berechnung!

stimmt man sollte vielleicht in Zukunft auf die PS3 bauen da sie auf längere Sicht die bessere grafik gewährleisten kann, wenn sich die Entwickler auf die Playstation eingestellt haben.
Und was hat das mit dem Thema zu tun? Genauso wenig wie das dein dämliches Geseier das ein weiteres Mal einfach nur Schadenfreude ausstrahlt und kindischerweise die Sonykonsole attackiert!
". also mir wäre es egal ob da was mehr leuchtet oder sonst was. denn es wurde ja gesesagt es SEHEN beide versionen praktisch gleich aus! und ich finde es halt besser wenn die framerate höher ist.

Microsoft is rumoured to be cutting the price of its Xbox 360 in a little over one week's time. Here comes the fight for Grand Theft Auto IV's sales.
When we first heard about a possible price cut, we immediately thought it was an odd time for such a move. But GTA IV will be with us at the end of April and that means big business for Sony and Microsoft.
TechRadar reports the price of every Xbox 360 SKU is to be slashed by 50 Euros on March 14 across Europe and cites "well-placed games industry sources". Not sure what, if anything, that means for the US.
Grand Theft Auto is famously associated with the PlayStation brand, but with 360 claiming to have the 'complete experience' over Sony with exclusive downloadable content, this could be Microsoft's biggest chance at truly breaking the mass market with 360. And that's something Microsoft wants to happen more than the resurrection of HD-DVD.
Microsoft wouldn't comment on the rumour when contacted, but we didn't really expect details if this does turn out to be true. That'd be a week of full price sales down the toilet. And every little bit helps.
Either way, it'll be interesting to see which way the sales of GTA IV go - PS3 or 360? The results should keep those analysts busy for a while. And if true, that'll mean 360s cheaper than Wiis. Well the ones without a hard drive anyway...
