Gears Re-Issue Confirmed, Details Will Not Surprise You



Yes, once the details are up on GameStop, it's as good as confirmed, but Microsoft just sent out the official details on the Gears of War re-release, so we may as well pass them on, get everyone on the same page. No big surprises, since everything listed on the GameStop page was pretty much spot-on, but you may as well know that it's due on June 24, and will cost you $39.99. Full details after the jump, but before you go, Microsoft are extra-eager to let you know the PC-exclusive Brumak level isn't included, so don't bother clicking through bringing any crazy hopes or wishes with you.

"Gears of War" updated two-disc edition and price drop arrive in June

On June 4th, "Gears of War" will be offered at the new estimated retail price of $39.99 (Xbox 360) and $29.99 (Games for Windows) throughout the U.S. and Canada.

In addition to a new price tag, an updated two-disc retail version of "Gears of War" (Xbox 360) will arrive in the U.S. and Canada beginning June 24. The two-disc version includes previously released multiplayer map packs, the Annex game mode, and the ability to earn up to eight additional multiplayer Achievements worth 250 Gamerscore. Gamers will also get a taste of the highly anticipated sequel, "Gears of War 2," through trailers and other extras.

• Map Packs 1 & 2
• Theme - 'Emergence Day'

Ja, wenn Gamestop schon Details veröffentlicht, ist es eh so gut wie offiziell, aber gerade hat Microsoft uns offizielle Dateils über den Re-Release von Gears zukommen lassen. Also können wir sie genausogut weiter geben und alle auf den selben Stand bringen.

Zusätzlich zum neuen Preis, wird es ab dem 24. Juni eine Gears of War Neuauflage geben, die die bisher erschienenen Multiplayer maps, den Annex-Spielmodus und die daran gebundenen 8 weiteren Erfolge enthält (250 Gamerscore). Scheiße, ich hab mir Gears Of War vor ein paar Wochen in der Classic-Version gekauft

hab ein paar fragen zu den Erfolgen beo GoW(1)

1. der Erfolg bei dem man mit Dom ein Kapiel durchzoggen muss funkt nicht ( Ver-domt neugierig heißt der glaube ). Hab es schon 2 mal mit ihm durchgezoggt, der Erfolg kommt auch aber er bleibt nicht.

2. ist es gewollt das es 2 mal den selben Erfolg gibt ?
( Kopfzerbrechen & die Klatsche )

Kopfzerbrechen ist wenn du vor den Gegner stehts und in in dem Kopf schiesst oder mit der Waffe schlägst. Aufklatschen halt mit x aufklatschen. Hatte das gleiche Problem mit Doom, versuche mal den ersten Level mit dem Helikopter zu machen, da im Gefängis.

und bei Kopfzerbrechen und die Klatsche war ich nur verwundert weil bei beidem genau das selbe steht.

Joystiq reports that, at the Wizard World convention in Philadelphia, Lester Speight — aka Gears of War's "Cole Train" — gave a wink-nudge tip that Nov. 16 will be the release date for for Gears of War 2. Quoth Joystiq:

[Speight] who voiced Gears of War's "Cole Train", recently made an appearance at the TriForce panel at Wizard World to shoot the breeze about the company's line of GoW-related replicas. When asked about the sequel's release date, the TriForce crew remained tight lipped, though Rasta suggested asking him again on November 16.

Sounds specific enough to me. The tip came in via David Hinkle of DS and Wii Fanboy. They're pursuing. We will too as soon as more is known.
