Also ich würde es klasse finden wenn die Thematik und das Szenario auch aufgegriffen wird. Bin gespannt.Ja das ist mir vorhin schon aufgefallen, wäre natürlich klasse und abwechslungsreich. (Und es würde ganz nebenbei zeigen das auch die USA nicht unverwundbar ist.)

Irgendwann wird dass der Fall sein, das ich mal kein Internet fürn Tag hab, und an dem Tag wird der SP gespieltoder dein Internet kaputt gehen??Ich werde direkt den MP anfangen, "scheiß" auf den SP.
Den SP werd ich dann spielen, wenn mal i-wann die Server down sind, oder mein Internet kaputt ist

Now Robert unconfirmed the perk... Though he left some space to announce it on his own terms later on:
"It is not confirmed that Riot Shield is a perk or that it takes up Perk 1 slot.
The debate continues."
And so it does. Personally we think Robert "can't" confirm it just yet
because we'll see something like it in one of the upcoming multiplayer
videos.
Riot Shield, two handed - no gun
Yesterday we reported on the riot shield not being a perk, or at least not yet. No way to tell if it'll be an Specops only sort of thing but this is what Robert had to say about it on the Xbox.com forums:

really good in objective gametypes. When one players needs to plant /
defuse / defend / etc. / etc. and the other player can protect him.
Giving him some mobile cover while he works. It has it's advantages in
TDM as well, but Objective gametypes is where I've really seen it
shine. "
But more importantly, he confirmed you will not be able to run around with a shield and a gun at the same time.

"Riot shield guys are defenseless (except they can melee with it) because the
Riot Shield requires both hands to hold, so you can't shoot when you
have it out. Best used in conjunction with another player. Even then,
plenty of ways to counter someone with a shield. "
Modern Warfare 2 beta; rumor smash
After a report on a possible beta to be released on GamesCom 2009
Elliot Wardle contacted Xboxic for some further information through
Xbox LIVE:
"The info leaked to me stated that MW2 is publicly playable &
Special Forces. Meant to be beta release date of Sep 10th - and some
secrets about new prestige mode features(which I wasn't told of) but

will be no beta announcement at Games Convention in Germany. The only
reason I've decided not to attend is due to the amount of work I'd like
to get done here at the studio, things that would have been delayed
even further if I was out of the country for a week.Things like the

In another post on the IW forums Robert talks to the
community in a way I hope everyone will understand. There have been
soooo many people crying, almost demanding for more information on the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer.
Wouldn't it be cooler just to discover all these new things on your one
without all the cool things being spoiled months before release?

We don't plan on sharing much more on the single-player, and I think
the majority of you are in agreement that the majority of the story
should be kept under wraps so it's even more impactful the first time
you play it.

As for multiplayer, again. We don't want to give
EVERYTHING away, because it's more fun to discover that stuff yourself,

MW 2 graphical novels by DC
DC comics is working on a Modern Warfare 2 comic with Ghost, badass looking Modern Warfare 2 character, as our hero.
It's getting pretty clear why Infinity Ward wanted to put the Call of Duty tag aside, they have much bigger plans for this newly created Modern Warfare
franchise. Just think of all Infinity Ward is putting into it; the
game, the prestige edition with fully functioning night goggles, a
statue and now a comic? This goes far beyond everything we've seen so
far for the other Call of Duty games.
MW2: GHOST comic
That aside, back to business. As you just read DC Comics, best known by the Superman and Batman novels, will be making a 6 piece graphical novel out of Modern Warfare 2. Ghost, a badass looking confirmed character wearing skeleton mask, will be
playing the leading part which will be published by WildStorm Productions. The novel will be written by David Lapham who has made
several issues for DC and Marvel, including Batman, Daredevil vs. Punisher, wolverine and Spider-Man. We all know Robert '402'
Bowling is a big fan of graphical novels and he has already been working very closely with them to make this novel as kick-ass as can
be, "...and trust me, it's hardcore". It's first cover looks promising and Infinity Ward looks like to have hit the right mark as lots of
positive comments fly around on Twitter and all leading MW2 forums. We have not been giving a time frame but it would be high likely to be
launched with the release of Modern Warfare 2 on November 11th, 2009.
Ghost
Last month we received a tip showing us Craig Fairbrass
was cast as the voice for a character named 'Ghost' in Modern Warfare 2. Craig also did the voice for 'Gaz' in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - supposedly KIA, which of course led to the discussion if the 'Gaz' is actually dead... Ghost would be a perfect nickname for someone surviving an execution by Imran Zakhaev in the end of CoD4: Modern Warfare. But let's not go there yet, Craig's voicing for 'Ghost' could also mean a new character which would be much more likely.

Anschlag ? Nett ausgedrückt, für nen Headshot aus nächster Nähe.Wie im Text steht,vlt. ist "Gaz" ja doch nicht tot,hat den Anschlag überlebt.
Vlt. leiht der Synch.Sprecher von "Gaz" aber auch nur einer anderen Figur seine Simme...

Er ist tot. Die Russen wollten ihn zwar wiederbeleben, aber vergeblich. Siehe MW1 Ende. Das hat mit dem Alter nix zu tun.hm ich denke price ist diesmal auch tot, da es ja ein direkter nachfolger zu MW1 ist und nicht ein eigenständiges spiel wo man charaktere reinstecken kann die schon über 80 seien müssten
Gaz ist tot? Hab ich irgendwas verpasst? Kann mich mal jemand aufklären bitte xD
Hab zwar MW1 gespielt allerdings hab ich jetzt n kompletten Blackout was Gaz betritt, aufklärung wäre nett xD
