Far Cry Classic Announced for Xbox 360



While Microsoft Studios’ media briefing this evening concentrated on Xbox One, the Xbox 360 has plenty of life left in it. Keen to capitalise on the renewed popularity of the Far Cry franchise, Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry Classic will be coming to Xbox 360 this summer.

“Far Cry Classic is the ultimate console version of the very first Far Cry game, bringing you back to the roots of this franchise. It’s another beautiful day in tropical paradise…or is it?” Reads the official press release. “Take the role of charter boat captain, Jack Carver, who finds himself hunted by an unrelenting team of highly trained mercenaries in this nature-gone-wrong FPS adventure. Choose to rely on firepower, strategy or stealth, abuse your freedom into massive outdoor environments, and fight for your life against tactically intelligent enemies.”

Exactly how Far Cry Classic will differ from the Xbox 360’s early release, Far Cry Instincts: Predator, remains to be seen – as does whether or not the videogame will remain exclusive to the Xbox 360. Far Cry Classic has been confirmed for release this summer however, priced at 560 Microsoft Points.
