The fact that GTA 5 isn’t out on the Xbox One and the PS4 still surprises some, as it’s obvious that such a game would look amazing on these new consoles. Of course it looks great on the PS3 and the Xbox 360, but Take Two is convinced that GTA 5 will head over to the new consoles in good time.
Take Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, told MCV that the new machines will affect GTA 5’s sales, as there are more than 120 million people with the current consoles, some of whom will have already bought GTA 5, and some more who intend to.
GTA fans had waited for GTA 5 for years, so didn’t care about the game coming out around the same time as the Xbox One and the PS4.
GTA 5 will look great on the newer consoles, but Take Two and Rockstar had admirable reasons for keeping the game on the older machines, where it does look brilliant. Rockstar’s taking its time in getting the game to the PS4 and the Xbox One.
